Giving Rise To Better Bread

Baking season is fast approaching, and you knead, er, need a little help?

Bread machine maven Lora Brody offers three products to make baking easier, by machine or by hand: Bread Dough Enhancer, for a better rise (particularly with heavier, whole-grain flours); Dough Relaxer, for easier rolling of pizza and pie crusts, and Sourdough Bread Enhancer, for sourdough flavor without a starter.

They’re worth spending some extra dough.

Price: About $8.50 for bread dough enhancer and relaxer, and $11.50 for sourdough enhancer (10-ounce canisters).
