Police are looking for a masked man who robbed a Coeur d’Alene motel early Friday.

The man, who police believe was armed with a handgun, walked into the Fairfield Inn at 2303 N. Fourth St. about 4:45 a.m. Friday.

The robber confronted the clerk at the motel’s front desk and demanded that certain doors be unlocked along with the cash register, according to a Coeur d’Alene police report.

The robber ordered the clerk into a laundry room and then fled with a small amount of money, according to the report.

No one was injured.
