Hewlett-Packard Closing Oregon Plant
The Hewlett-Packard electronics company is closing the plant where it manufactured medical products the past 23 years.
Most of the 152 employees will have the chance to take other jobs within Hewlett-Packard. More than 100 will be offered jobs in Andover, Mass., where H-P’s medical products group is based, spokesman Jerry Fisher said Monday.
Employees learned Monday in a meeting with managers that the plant would close in the next three to four months. The plant produced portable defibrillators and electrocardiographs.
