But The Angels Don’t Listen To Bad Grammer
“Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer has been charged only with driving with an expired license for rolling his Dodge Viper last month.
Grammer, in alcohol rehab at the Betty Ford Center, had been arrested for investigation of driving while intoxicated, but blood-alcohol tests were inconclusive.
Meanwhile, his autobiography, “So Far …,” has just been released in paperback, although the publisher says the timing is a coincidence.
The back cover pictures Grammer leaning against a red sports car, with the quote: “If you lose your demons, you lose your angels, or so I used to think. But that doesn’t scare me anymore. My demons are always going to be there. They’re along for the ride … These days I prefer chatting with my angels.”
Loose talk
Sylvester Stallone, on Geena Davis’ performance in “The Long Kiss Goodnight” (in USA Today): “I’ve gone to the mountain, I’ve looked over and seen the other side, and I think female action stars are certainly the thing of the future.”

Radio shock jock Howard Stern couldn’t decide which hair color suited him best, so the paperback version of his book “Miss America” was printed with three different covers, depicting Stern in drag as a blond, brunette and redhead.
So, she sort of went on the air with him
And speaking of Stern, he found himself sharing the first-class cabin of a recent flight from New York to Los Angeles with Kathie Lee Gifford, one of his archenemies, and her husband, Frank. Kathie Lee kept her face in a book as Stern posed for pictures with the crew and fans.
Sounds like a typical Howard Stern show
Filming “Baywatch” is no day at the beach, Yasmine Bleeth told Time Out New York. “The water’s kind of cold and filthy,” she said. “They make it look nicer on TV.” And then there’s co-star Pamela Lee: “If she doesn’t stop talking about her baby, and telling me about his bowel movements and his burps and his sounds, I’m going to strangle her.”
She thinks that they’re all men of steal
“Lois & Clark” co-star Teri Hatcher has sued Bally’s health clubs, claiming she’s owed $312,500 on a contract to promote the Chicago-based chain. Replied a Bally’s spokesman: “We have met all of our obligations as outlined in the contract. Unfortunately, she did not.”
These days, actually, he prefers hides
Exiled “Satanic Verses” author Salman Rushdie has waived his right to sue the distributors of a fictional Pakistani film that showed his character being killed, leading to the lifting of a British ban on the movie. It isn’t so much his demise that bothers him about the film as his wardrobe, Rushdie said: “The ‘me’ character was dressed in a wide range of pastel-colored safari suits.”
