Tour des Lacs, a bicycling benefit billed as the last great ride of the cycling season, is set to put cyclists in touch with area waterways on Sept. 21-22.
The event, which begins in Riverfront Park, has several options - all complete with big spreads of food - to fit any rider’s style:
Long route with cruise - 84-mile ride followed by two-hour boat cruise.
Short route with cruise - a 40-mile ride followed by the two-hour cruise and another 38-mile ride.
Long route, no cruise - 122 miles of serious terrain with 7,000 feet of elevation changes from Spokane, through Rockford, Plummer, St. Maries, Harrison and around Lake Coeur d’Alene to Coeur d’Alene.
Centennial Trail Route - 40 easy miles.
