Gun Buyer Takes Pot Shot At Himself

Nature called. The paramedics answered.

Johnel Trinidad accidentally shot himself Wednesday while sitting on a toilet and inspecting a gun he was considering buying.

The 18-year-old man fired the 9 mm weapon, sending a bullet through his hand, knee and a bathroom wall, police Sgt. Matt Christensen said.

Trinidad was in good condition.

Police said the lesson to be learned is to be careful with loaded weapons - at all times. Said Christensen: “Bathroom gun safety and gun safety in general pretty much dovetail.”
