Meals To Support Neva-Wood Cops

From Staff And Wire Reports

Volunteers from the Neva-Wood community policing substation are holding a fund-raiser at a north Spokane restaurant today.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Garlic City, 100 W. Francis. Part of the proceeds from each meal sold will be donated to the Neva-Wood program.

Neva-Wood volunteers will bus tables, and off-duty police officers will serve coffee. McGruff, the anti-crime dog, will be on hand to talk to children, and crime prevention materials will be available.

Neva-Wood COPS is temporarily being housed at NorthTown Mall. Volunteers hope to move into a new facility at Wellesley and Addison this summer.
