Prince Of Peace Lutheran Offers Class In Bible Basics

A new class in Bible basics will begin Wednesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3909 W. Rowan. The class will give an overview of the major themes and stories in the Old and New Testaments. The four-week class will meet every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. through May 7.

No advance registration is required and all are invited to attend the free class. Those who require child care are asked to call the church office at 325-5726 by Monday. Participants are asked to bring their own Bibles.

Fund-raiser for network held

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Spokane will present a benefit showing of “The Miracle Worker” on Wednesday at the Spokane Civic Theatre, 1020 N. Howard. The evening will begin with a reception and silent auction at 7 p.m. The performance will begin at 8 p.m.

The hospitality network is comprised of several Spokane churches that work with homeless families and help them find jobs and permanent housing. The proceeds will be used to pay the salary of the executive director and operational costs of the day center.
