Police Chase Ends In Collision, Death

A car being pursued by police collided head-on wth another car here, killing one person and injuring three.

The crash occurred Friday night near the Emerald Downs race track, police said.

The incident began when police responded to a burglary call at an auto parts store. A car sped away from the scene, chased by police.

The collision occurred on the 15th Street Northwest overpass at Washington 167.

A 36-year-old passenger in the getaway car was killed, and the driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, authorities said.

Two teenagers in the other car also were taken to the hospital.
