League Launches Discussion Series

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Citizens League of Greater Spokane is beginning a series of informal public discussions called Brew-Pubs.

The meetings will give people an opportunity to gather to discuss key issues of the day.

The first Brew-Pub will be held tonight at Europa Pizzeria and Bakery at 125 S. Wall. It is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.

The subject for the first gathering is water issues facing the region.

Therese Covert, the group’s director, said local water experts will lend their knowledge as the conversation develops, but will not lead the discussion.

“Citizens will be able to explore their concerns with one another and benefit from those more familiar with actual facts involved in various issues,” Covert said.

Brew-Pubs will be held on the third Thursday of every month at Europa. They are open to all citizens.
