Grab Your Poodle Skirt; It’s Sock Hop Time

The Spokane Lilac Association is sponsoring a “Blast to the Past” sock hop for adults age 21 and over today at the Franklin Park Mall.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. with big-band music by the Air National Guard band. Men in the Making will perform oldies music beginning at 9 p.m.

The sock hop is one of the largest fund-raisers put on by the Lilac Association, which helps support princess scholarships, high school band competitions, and the Lilac Parade.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets are available at all three Jewelry Design Center locations in Spokane, the Lilac Association office at 315 W. Mission, or from any Franklin Park Mall merchant. , DataTimes
