Shooting Death Of 3-Year-Old Probed

Detectives Sunday were trying to piece together what led to the fatal shooting of a 3-year-old boy at an apartment.

Jonah James Tolliver was shot in the head at The Columbian apartments in the Beacon Hill neighborhood Saturday night. He died at Harborview Medical Center.

Detectives interviewed several people who may have been in the apartment to try to determine if the shooting was accidental or deliberate, police spokesman Christie-Lynn Bonner said.

The apartment is apparently a caretaker’s residence where the boy was being watched, authorities said.
