Undefeated Ferris Kicks North Central

Undefeated Ferris unleashed its biggest offensive showing of the Greater Spokane League boys soccer season Wednesday, notching a 7-0 victory at North Central.

Matt Brown scored twice, and Garth Cummings and Aaron Crary had one goal and one assist apiece for the Saxons, who are unbeaten and untied in four league matches and 12 overall. Ferris’ four regulation wins are worth 12 points, good for a tie with Lewis and Clark.

NC (3-7-0 overall) has two regulation league wins, one overtime league win, no overtime losses and two regulation losses, for eight points.

Pete Flatt’s early goal held up as the Tigers (4-0-0-2, 12 points) kept pace with Ferris by edging the visiting Bullpups (2-1-0-3, 8) at Hart Field.

Grant Falco’s heel pass to Paul Hatcher for a goal highlighted the Titans’ win over the visiting Bears (1-0-2-3, 5).

Josh Melcher of U-Hi (2-0-2-1, 8) opened the scoring. Eric Phinney scored late for CV.
