Cannons Fall 9-1 To Lakeside In Aaa Legion Tournament

Jarud Carvalho’s two-run triple in the first inning sparked Lakeside Recovery of Bellevue to a 9-1 victory Saturday over the Spokane Cannons at the State AAA Legion baseball tournament in Selah.

The Cannons lone run came in the fifth inning when Justin Folkins stole home while a teammate was caught in a rundown between first and second base.

Lakeside pounded out 11 hits in the game off five different Spokane pitchers. The Cannons also committed five errors.

Spokane, with a 23-19 on the season, will take on the Kennewick Dusters today in a loser-out contest.
