Three Injured In Head-On Crash

A head-on collision near Prichard Saturday afternoon left both drivers seriously injured and sent one to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane by air ambulance.

The accident took place about 3 p.m. on Coeur d’Alene River Road just south of Prichard, according to Shoshone County police dispatchers.

One driver was flown to Sacred Heart. The other was taken by ambulance to Kootenai Medical Center. A passenger in one vehicle suffered less serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle.

Officials had not released the names of the victims or more details about the accident by press time.
