Deadline Looms For Teen Council Applications

Time’s running out.

The deadline to apply for the Our Generation Teen Council is just around the corner. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the group that will guide this section for the next year. Call for your application today.

We’re looking for creative and interesting high school students who want to represent their school or community group and write, take pictures, do illustrations or just brainstorm great ideas for Our Generation.

You must be between ages 14 and 18 or enrolled in high school, and be able to attend monthly meetings.

Learn how to recycle old jewelry and make contemporary pieces at the “Baubles, Bangles & Beads - New Jewelry from Old” workshop Aug. 20.

The workshops will run from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. at The Cheney Cowles Museum, 2316 W. First Ave. The workshops are open to teens 13-18. Admission is $1. Reservations required.
