Duvall Official Arrested In Drug-Weapons Raid

Compiled From Wire Services

One City Council member was among several people arrested in a drug and weapons investigation, and another council member was questioned.

Police and jail records show Council Member Dave G. Zumwalt, 40, was being held pending a bail hearing today and that Tom D. Loutsis, 31, was released Saturday, the morning after a series of raids.

Loutsis, who filed for re-election to the five-member council last week, did not immediately return a call to his residence Sunday morning. Zumwalt, elected in 1995, has two years remaining in his term.

Police seized handguns, rifles and an undisclosed amount of cash and cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana Friday in searches at locations in Duvall and elsewhere in King County, Mayor Glen Kuntz said.

“Multiple arrests” were made, and “we’re anticipating a lot more arrests,” the mayor said.

The Eastside Narcotics Drug Task Force and Duvall police joined in the investigation, which Kuntz said had been going on for some time.
