County Seeks Vision Of Future With Cards Sent To Many

The Spokane County Public Works Department is seeking public input on the future of transportation, land development, parks and other issues affecting the quality of life in Spokane County.

Last week, the Public Works’ division of long range planning sent 5,000 self-addressed, stamped “vision cards” to randomly selected county residents.

It hopes recipients will share their opinions about what should be preserved - or changed - to improve life in the county over the next two decades.

Residents who didn’t receive a card in the mail can request one by calling 456-2294.

Suggestions will be passed along to citizen-based work groups that are currently drafting a plan to guide county growth in the next 20 years.
