Convicted sports fixer Richard Perry, whose hot-tub pictures with UNLV basketball players helped lead to coach Jerry Tarkanian’s resignation, was sentenced in Las Vegas to 15 months in prison for income tax evasion.

Perry was also fined $30,000 and ordered to pay retroactive taxes for some $650,000 in gambling income he failed to report from 1989 to 1991.

Mississippi State football star Keffer McGee, 22, had a heart problem that went undetected before his drowning death Tuesday and likely contributed to it, an autopsy revealed. The Oktibbeha County (Miss.) coroner said McGee’s left main coronary artery was 90 percent blocked.
