Boothes Landing To Be Closed For Repairs

Boothes Landing, a public dock and launching site east of Coeur d’Alene, will be closed Aug. 20 and 21.

Workers from the Kootenai County Waterways department will be grading, compacting and adding signs to the parking area to the launch, said waterways director Kurtis Robinson.

The department will mark a turn-around area for boaters to use while launching or pulling out boats that will be off-limits to parking.

“It does get quite full and we do have problems there,” Robinson said. The marked turn-around is intended to alleviate some of the conflicts at the launch.
