Divers Recover Body Of Paddle Boater

From Staff And Wire Reports

The body of a Seattle man was recovered from Green Lake after he fell from a rented paddle boat and failed to resurface, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Hank W. Lew, 28, the King County medical examiner’s office said Monday.

The lake is about 12 feet deep where Lew fell into the water Sunday. Divers from the Seattle Harbor Patrol recovered his body.

The man and a woman had rented the boat at the lake’s north end.

Witnesses said the woman began screaming for help when the man fell in the water. She wasn’t hurt but was taken to Harborview Medical Center for an exam, police said.
