Indian Canyon Communications Tower Approved

Spokane’s hearing examiner last week approved the construction of a 120-foot communications tower near Indian Canyon Golf Course.

The tower will provide coverage for the police department’s new mobile data system, which will give officers quicker access to criminal records and other stored information.

It will be located next to two city water tanks near the intersection of Westcliff Place and West Drive.

The hearing examiner last Thursday approved a special permit for the tower and a small concrete building for ground equipment.
