Is Diana Falling In Love? Well, Maybe This Time

Compiled By Staff Writer Dan Web

Buckingham Palace tries hard to manage the news, but word is spreading about Princess Diana’s involvement with a man who is said to be healing her “repressed sexuality.”

That, at any rate, is what the London Daily Mirror is reporting. The Mirror, by the way, paid $395,000 for photos of Di kissing Dodi Fayed, the man in question.

How real is the story? According to Fayed’s ex-wife, American model Suzanne Gregard, the millionaire told her, “It’s not a fling, I promise. It’s serious…. Diana and I are having a romance, a true romance.”

Fayed, reported the New York Post, owns a two-floor apartment in “the ultra-posh Pierre at the corner of East 61st Street and Fifth Avenue.”

Look for the photos in the American tabloid The Globe on Friday.

Then again… Dodi Fayed may not be the stable influence that Princess Diana needs. He is said to owe the IRS millions in unpaid taxes, and more than one past landlord has sued him for unpaid rent. “Dodi is a notorious Hollywood jet-set type of personality,” says Andrew Wainrib, Fayed’s best man at his 1987 first wedding.

This may be more than you wanted to know, but we feel obliged to report that Pamela Anderson Lee’s second child, who was conceived barely five months ago, is a boy and will be named Dylan. “This is it,” Lee told Keenen Ivory Wayans. “We’re going to have two kids and (Tommy Lee is going to) get snipped.”

Lawyer Gerry Spence, he of the Randy Weaver trial, has a new gig. He’ll be one of the seven judges for the Sept. 13 Miss America contest. He’ll join the likes of model Angie Everhart, “Entertainment Tonight” co-anchor Julie Moran, ex-Miss America Debbye Turner, Banana Republic CEO Jeanne Jackson and choreographer Kenny Ortega.

Maybe they were talking about her dental appointment

Speaking of romance… Word from New York is that Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn may be on the verge of being engaged. Seems the two were overheard in Tiffany’s, and he was saying, “You want to get it in platinum or not?”
