WSU To Slash Thousands With A Swoosh

Nike and its omnipresent trademark are coming to Washington State University in the form of an agreement that is expected to save the athletic department hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

The WSU athletic department expects to announce next week the signing of an apparel and equipment contract with Nike worth between $350,000 and $400,000 annually, The Spokesman-Review has learned.

WSU’s various athletic teams have purchase agreements with several companies, including Nike. The new agreement will be far more comprehensive.
