Cougs To Work Against ‘Bruins’ In Scrimmage

With one week remaining until its season opener at home against UCLA, Washington State University will conduct its final football scrimmage this morning at 9 in Martin Stadium.

The scrimmage will feature the first-team offense and defense working against scout teams modeled after UCLA.

It will mark the Cougars’ first practice this fall on artificial turf - through two weeks of two-a-day drills, they’ve remained on the natural-grass practice field.

After the scrimmage, the Cougars will head to Spokane for a 3:30 p.m. youth clinic at the Spokane Youth Sports Association’s North Complex adjacent to Albi Stadium. It is free and open to children in the eighth grade and below. , DataTimes
