Hassett Dies Of Cancer

John “Buddy” Hassett, a former major league baseball player who set the season record of striking out just 17 times in 156 games in 1936 while with the Brooklyn Dodgers, has died of bone cancer at Pascack Valley Hospital. He was 85.
