Police Rule Shooting Of 5-Year-Old Accidental

A shooting that wounded a 5-year-old boy Thursday was accidental, police said.

Andre Anderson Jr. suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center.

He underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition Thursday night.

The boy found a handgun beneath a pillow and began playing with it out of sight of the adults, Sgt. Don Cameron said.
