Cheney Man Dies After Being Run Over During Fight

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Cheney man died Friday evening at Sacred Heart Medical Center after being run over by a car Thursday, the Washington State Patrol said.

Eric J. Sorensen, 36, suffered massive head injuries after falling out of a car driven by Kirk E. Gladhart, 33, of Spokane.

The two were sitting in the parked Cadillac facing eastbound on Fourth Avenue near Dollar Road about 11:15 p.m. Thursday when another car pulled up alongside, troopers said.

A fight broke out and Sorensen rolled from the car.

Gladhart drove away, running over Sorensen, troopers said. He later returned to the scene.

Gladhart’s car has been impounded while an investigation into the incident continues.
