Woman Says Man Fired Gun At Truck

A man hopped out of a car with a gun Wednesday and shot out the window of a pickup near Fifth Street and Walnut Avenue, a woman reported to police.

Coeur d’Alene police said they had no suspects and no victims as of Wednesday afternoon.

The woman said that about noon, a man leaped out of a parked small blue car and shot at the back of a parked blue truck, according to police. The truck may have had a canopy, police said.

Both vehicles drove off.

Investigators found shattered glass that could have been from an automobile. But they don’t know who the shooter or the truck’s owner are.

They are asking anyone with information to call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 769-2320.

“At this point all we can do is wait for additional information,” Capt. Carl Bergh said. “We have to have a victim to proceed.”
