Haul Of Stolen Property Found

From Staff Reports

More than 60 pieces of stolen property were discovered when investigators searched a west Spokane home Thursday, Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Russell R. Corkrum, 32, was booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of first-degree trafficking of stolen property and possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver.

He also was charged with second-degree assault stemming from a November incident in which he allegedly burned a woman with a hot glue gun, deputies said.

Corkrum was arrested after members of the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force questioned him Thursday in front of his home at 4208 S. Rowan about the November incident. Investigators found a small amount of methamphetamine on him, deputies said.

They entered the home with a search warrant and discovered drums, construction equipment, tools, electronic games and stereo equipment, deputies said. A half-pound of cocaine, a half-pound of methamphetamine, scales and cash also were seized.
