Man Dies Of Gunshots On 21st Birthday

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man was shot to death at his apartment on his 21st birthday Saturday morning, apparently in a dispute over a debt, and two men were arrested, police said.

Gunshots went into the bedroom of a neighboring apartment, but no one in that unit was injured, police said.

Police spokesman Michael Johnson said two 20-year-old Issaquah men were arrested hours later, one at his home and the other walking to his separate residence. They were being held for investigation of homicide.

Donald R. Case died of multiple gunshot wounds, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Names of both men in custody and witnesses were being withheld.

A police statement said officers were summoned to the Woodland Commons apartment complex at 5:38 a.m. and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds and his 24-year-old girlfriend giving him cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
