3 Incumbents Vie For Hospital Trustees

From Staff Reports

Three incumbents are running for six-year terms on the Kootenai Hospital District Board of Trustees.

They include retired educator Betty C. McLain, vice chairwoman of the board; surgeon James M. Curtis; and Washington Water Power regional manager Paul Anderson.

McLain and Curtis have served on the board since 1990. Anderson was appointed this year to fill Tim Olson’s seat after Olson moved to Boise.

Candidates have until 5 p.m. Friday to file for the Kootenai Hospital District Board of Trustees.

The hospital district owns and operates Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene. The seven-member board of trustees manages the medical center.

Anyone interested in running should file petitions with the signatures of five voters registered in Kootenai County by 5 p.m. Friday. People with questions should contact Elaine Bacon, election coordinator, at 666-2003.
