Woman Shot In Her East Central Home

A woman was shot in the shoulder inside her East Central neighborhood home early Wednesday, police said.

The 44-year-old victim told police she and her family were playing video games in the living room of her home in the 1400 block of Central Avenue when someone knocked at the door.

She looked out the window and saw a man. As she approached the door, she was shot through the window, police said.

She was reported in satisfactory condition late Wednesday at an area hospital.

Police have not determined a motive for the shooting. The suspect is described as a white man, 35 to 50 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark stocking cap and waist-length coat.
