Nic Wrestlers Cruise Past Nw Wyoming

On a night that promised a difficult match, the North Idaho College wrestlers made it look easy.

The Cardinals, ranked No. 2 among junior-college teams, rolled to a 38-0 win Friday over 10th-ranked Northwest Wyoming in Christianson Gym.

“It was a good win for us,” said NIC coach John Owen.

Cardinals 158-pounder Josh Morton prevailed in one of the evening’s more entertaining matches. He scored a takedown on Mark Lane with 15 seconds remaining to pull out a 7-6 win.

The Cardinals, 13-2 in duals, entertain Central Washington University next Friday in their final home match.
