Jfk Jr. And His New Wife Just Wanna Be Left Alone

Compiled By Staff Writer Dan Web

Like Greta Garbo, the Kennedys would just like to be left alone.

That continued to be clear recently when John F. Kennedy Jr. and wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy tried to get away for a private meal.

The two were spotted by paparazzi, who immediately trailed them to a restaurant in the TriBeCa section of Manhattan. Kennedy left their leashed dog outside.

But you know how dogs are. The mutt began whimpering, and pretty soon one of the photogs began to pet it.

Which miffed Kennedy to no end. He rushed out of the restaurant, so the report goes, and snarled, “If you guys are going to be inhumane to my wife, you shouldn’t pet my dog.”

Said checks were promptly returned.

It’s dark days for the Helfgott family

The film “Shine” is said to represent the emotionally trying and, eventually, fulfilling life of Australian pianist David Helfgott. Now comes word from Helfgott’s family: The film is a lie. According to Helfgott’s sister, Margaret Helfgott, their mother, 76-year-old Rae Helfgott, hates it. “Instead of the film being a source of joy and pride, it has become a nightmare.” Their main gripe is a scene in which Helfgott’s late father, Peter, beats the young boy. They claim it never occurred.

On April 6, when the $110 million Texas Motor Speedway debuts, all of Forth Worth will be out to celebrate. And as for the talent that will be on hand to help out, who should we expect? Garth Brooks? Alan Jackson? Reba McEntire? Michael Jackson? No, no, no and no. How about classical pianist Van Cliburn? “He is certainly one of our most distinguished citizens,” said Fort Worth Mayor Kenneth Barr, “and we’re glad he makes Fort Worth his home.”
