Pope Tells Singles To Keep The Faith

Don’t despair if you can’t find a husband or wife, the pope said Saturday.

Unmarried people who don’t want to be single sometimes feel “that their life in part has failed,” Pope John Paul II told a group of visiting French bishops.

“Let them not lose hope, because Christ never abandons those who trust in him,” he said. “Let them devote themselves to others, and to developing wide fraternal relations.”
