Mom Arrested After 5-Year-Old Takes Lsd
A woman was in jail Monday on suspicion of drug possession and child abuse after police said her 5-year-old daughter ate two LSD-laced candy hearts.
Suzanna Schroeppel, 23, called for help after her daughter, Jessica, lost consciousness Saturday night.
“(The girl) was in the proximity of the mother and we suspect it was the mother’s LSD,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Alexander.
Jessica was admitted to Primary Children’s Hospital in critical condition after ingesting “two hits” of the hallucinogen, Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Potter said.
She was released Sunday into the care of her father, who is divorced from Schroeppel, Potter said.
