In Case You’ve Got Eight Feet

Nike plans to expand its Air Jordan line of basketball shoes to include as many as four models.

Promoted by NBA star Michael Jordan, the Air Jordan has been Nike’s most visible and successful line. The first Jordan Pros should be on retailers’ shelves next fall.

The Air Jordan will remain in its current $140 price range. Jordan Pro and other planned models will be more affordable.

A handful of NBA players, chosen by Jordan, will be allowed to wear the Jordan Pro, said Nike design chief Tinker Hatfield.

The Air Jordan 12, released in January, was the fastest-selling basketball shoe in history.

Jordan says the line will include a workout shoe and three other models intended to address different financial needs of sneaker buyers.
