Wilbur-Creston 59, Ritzville 50

Third-ranked Wilbur-Creston muddied the Bi-County League tournament picture by virtue of its 59-50 win Saturday night over host Ritzville.

The Wildcats (17-3, 12-1) and sixth-ranked Broncos (17-3, 12-1) are tied for first in the West Division. League rules require the two schools play for the division title tonight. However, according to Ritzville coach John Foulkes, he and Wildcats coach Steve Jantz would rather settle the issue with a coin flip.

Foulkes said the league’s athletic directors will vote today on whether a game must be played. If the A.D.s disallow a coin flip, the game will most likely take place tonight at Odessa.

Alyssa Erickson had 11 points, including 5-of-5 shooting at the foul line in the fourth quarter, to help the Wildcats win their 16th straight game.
