Newport Rides Marsh’s 22 Past Priest River

It took five more weeks than planned, but Newport’s boys finally paid back Priest River.

Eli Marsh scored 22 points Thursday as the visiting Grizzlies (5-14) broke a four-game losing streak with a 68-49 win and avenged a non-league basketball loss to the Spartans (4-14). The game was postponed from Jan. 7.

Newport and other Northeast A League teams complete their regular season tonight.
