Train From Seattle To Vancouver Resumes

Associated Press

Amtrak resumed train service Thursday between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Service had been interrupted for all but two days since Dec. 30 because of landslides blocking or threatening tracks. Amtrak transported passengers on buses during that time.

Amtrak spokesman Dominick Albano in Oakland, Calif., said this is a big weekend for train rides. He said the Mount Baker International is nearly booked full today for Valentine’s Day getaways to Vancouver.
