Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: There are two things that I am never in a hurry to throw away. One is a receipt, the other is the box from a new purchase.

As soon as I have a receipt from any store, big or little, it goes into my accordion-style filing envelope.

I keep all boxes for a period of six months. If I have no space to store them, I fold them and stack them in the cellar.

Receipts and boxes are a must when one needs to return any item. Organization pays off. Try it! - Rose Kozma, Milltown, N.J.

Dear Heloise: I use an old golf bag to store my brooms and dust mop, handle first. I put it in the corner of my apartment or in a very small laundry closet.

Dust cloths fit nicely in the side pocket. - Mary Seyb, Hutchison, Kan.
