Nic Women Run All Over Walla Walla

North Idaho College used a balanced scoring attack and suffocating defensive pressure to trounce visiting Walla Walla 72-47 in a non-conference junior college women’s basketball game Tuesday night.

The Cardinals (11-1) got 11 points from Mandy Jacques and 10 each from Angie Dickson, Shawna Rainer and Tammy Goyne.

Jacques also contributed team highs with six assists and five steals for North Idaho.

Melissa Schlettert paced Walla Walla with 12 points.

NIC’s defense forced 37 turnovers, including 20 in the first half.
