Elliott reinstated

University of Idaho junior point guard Derrick Elliott has been reinstated to the team, Vandals basketball coach Kermit Davis announced.

Elliott was suspended on Jan. 13 for “an attitude that is detrimental to the progress of the team” for his comments following a Jan. 12 loss to Utah State.

Elliott had complained about his playing time.

Elliott, who is averaging 6.3 points and 3.9 assists in 14 games, was in practice Monday for the first time since the suspension was imposed.
