Ryan Erickson, the youngest son of Seattle Seahawks coach Dennis Erickson, plans on walking on to the Montana State football team when camp opens in August. Dennis Erickson was a quarterback at MSU in the 1960s and helped the Bobcats to three straight Big Sky Conference titles. He also started his coaching career as an assistant at MSU. Erickson has donated $100,000 toward the renovation of MSU’s football stadium. … Wisconsin basketball star Sam Okey has a dislocated right kneecap and probably will miss the World University Games. He was injured while playing at the Badger State Games Saturday night. The team’s physician said the forward might be able to resume conditioning and limited practices in 4-6 weeks.

Lisa Moldrem, coach of the University of Washington’s women’s tennis team for 14 years, is resigning to return to club-level coaching in the Seattle area. Under Moldrem, the Huskies compiled a 192-121 record and won the Pac-10 Northern Division title nine times in the past 11 seasons.
