Moderate Morning Earthquake Wakes Up Folks In Chelan Area

An earthquake rattled the Chelan area although there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The University of Washington Geophysics lab said the 3.6 magnitude quake was centered 8.6 miles south of Chelan four miles below the surface and was recorded about 3:45 a.m. Friday.

Radio station KOZI in Chelan said it got numerous calls from residents about the tremor but no damage or injuries were reported.
