Two Moose Captured After Running Wild In Valley

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two moose were captured Saturday after running amok in the Spokane Valley, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The moose were captured near Argonne and Montgomery after state wildlife officials and the Washington State Patrol were called at about 7:30 a.m.

The animals were spotted in residential areas, as well as near the 4 B’s Restaurant and the Super 8 Motel. One even charged a state trooper after being shot with a tranquilizer rifle, and one damaged a Department of Wildlife vehicle.

The moose were tranquilized and taken away by wildlife officials, WSP said. No further information was available.
