Gov. Gary Locke’s Sister Gives Birth To Daughter

Gary and Mona Locke’s daughter Emily has a new playmate.

The governor’s sister, Rita Yoshihara, gave birth to a daughter on Wednesday, Locke learned in a telephone call while traveling in Eastern Washington. The newcomer, who hasn’t been named yet, was born in Seattle and joins her older brother and sister.

Rita is married to a minister, Joe Yoshihara.
