Man May Have Put Child Porn On Internet
Graphic Internet images discovered as part of a child pornography investigation depict elementary school age children, an investigator said Friday.
“Some children were as young as, I believe, 7 or 8 years old,” said Jerry Ross, a detective with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday as a result of the investigation but has not been charged with a crime. District Judge Thomas Kelly freed the man on his own recognizance, rejecting a prosecution demand for bail of $5,000.
Investigators say the apparent child pornography operation offered more than 200 graphic images on the Internet.
Officials said they found photos that included images of naked boys and of boys having sex with each other, according to court documents. Most of the youths appeared younger than 18 years old.
The arrested man lived in Champaign, Ill., before moving to Snohomish County in January, sheriff’s spokesman Jan Jorgensen said.
AccessOne, a Kirkland provider of Internet sevices, sparked the investigation.
