Loon Lake Siblings Listed In ‘Who’s Who’

Cheryl and Ryan Murbach, children of Larry and Terri Murbach of Loon Lake, Wash., were both listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students.”

Cheryl will also appear in the “U.S. Achievement Academy Official Yearbook” for scholastic achievement as a National Honor Roll Award winner.

Cheryl, who graduated this spring from Deer Park High School, was enrolled in the Running Start program at Spokane Community College.

Pitney Bowes’ Spokane Support Center was recognized by its corporate office for achieving the nation’s highest United Way participation.

Four employees shared the responsibility of campaign coordinators: Linda White, Claudia Michael, Sue Schelin and Michelle Boyer.

Christina Keneally, Greenacres, received her nurse’s pin from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keneally.

Airman 1st Class Tammy Van Keuren, daughter of Robert and Sally Van Keuren of Spokane, has graduated from the information management apprentice course at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss.

She received an associate degree from Spokane Falls Community College in 1966.

Several Inland Northwest students attending Eastern Washington University student taught in Spokane-area schools this spring, completing their practicum experiences toward their bachelor’s degrees. They are:

Brenda McFarling, special education at Grant Elementary, is a 1989 graduate from Tekoa (Wash.) High School, and is the daughter of Jerry and Linda Babb.

Christopher Morlan, technology at Lewis and Clark High School, is a 1985 LC graduate and is a son of Gunhild Swanson and David Morlan, both of Spokane.

Sabrina Wiley, first grade at Mullan Road Elementary, is a 1992 graduate of West Valley High, and is the daughter of Don and Sue Wiley of the Spokane Valley.

Stephanie Johnson, physical education at Mead Junior High, is a 1990 graduate of Mead High, and is the daughter of Alice Stevens and Bud Dashiell, both of Spokane.

Sharon Wruble, daughter of Walt and Linda Wruble of Spokane, has graduated from George Fox University in Newberg, Ore., with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education.

Sean Hughes has received a Presidential Scholarship to Valparaiso (Ind.) University.

Hughes, son of Jerry and Sally Hughes, was valedictorian of his 1997 graduating class at Shadle Park High School. Among many honors, Hughes was named in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students.”

Frank Fallow has been elected president of the Washington State University Retirees Association for 1997-98.

Re-elected were Wilhelmina “Toni” Sarai-Clark, vice president; Duane Brobst, secretary; and Marge Bennett, treasurer.
